When Lovell Partnerships was appointed by Platform Housing Group to deliver 113 new affordable homes on the former Nortenham Allotments site at Bishop's Cleeve, near Cheltenham, the development required a comprehensive fencing and public open space package to complete the external works to the high standard the project demanded. Cheltenham Borough Council Greenfields was appointed to deliver the full fencing scope across the site and with our team's extensive experience working alongside construction contractors on new build developments, we were well placed to get the job done on time and to specification. What we delivered Working alongside Lovell Partnerships across the development, Greenfields supplied and installed a full range of fencing solutions covering every element of the external boundary and public open space: Residential boundary fencing — timber close board fencing installed throughout the development, providing clear, secure and attractive boundaries for each individual property Metal railings — bow top steel railings installed to define and secure the public open spaces across the site, providing a clean and durable finish that complements the wider development Knee rail and post and rail — installed to the public open space areas, providing informal but effective boundary definition across the communal green spaces Playground metal railings — bow top steel railings installed to fully enclose and secure the play area, keeping children safe whilst maintaining an open, welcoming feel The Bishop's Cleeve development comprises 38 one and two bedroom homes and 75 three and four bedroom homes, all available through either affordable rent or shared ownership, providing much-needed affordable housing to a part of Gloucestershire where demand is high.
