Grounds Maintenance Operative

We at Greenfields are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our expanding team. Greenfields is a family run, ambitious business located just outside Gloucester. We are looking for a driven individual that is an excellent team player that is reliable and trustworthy.

The role:

• Grass cutting
• Strimming
• Weeding
• Lawn and landscaping maintenance
• Shrub maintenance
• Leaf clearance
• Litter picking if required
• Following all Health and Safety guidelines
• Adhere to company standards such as risk assessments and COSHH
• Liaising and communicating with contractors and customers

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a full driving license
• Have Grounds maintenance experience
• Be able to deliver physical tasks in all weather conditions
• Experience operating garden machinery (although training will be provided)
• Have good time keeping skills
• Have good organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Be a team player but also willing to occasionally alone work when required
• Be self motivated, reliable and trustworthy
• Have horticulture knowledge
• PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates are desirable

Hours will be 6.30 until 3.30 Monday to Friday with overtime to meet business requirements.

28 days holiday including bank holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 42.50 per week
